Crowne Plaza Muscat OCEC, an IHG Hotel

I did not realise there are two Crowne Plaza hotels in Muscat. I mistakenly booked the business one, rather than the beach one, which my daughter was not pleased about. So we planned to move the following morning. However, once my daughter ate from the extensive breakfast offering, we decided to stay. The breakfast was superb and probably one of the best we have had over the years. We spent time at the pool, which, although quiet and may not have carried the same vibe as the 'beach' Crowne Plaza, was pleasant enough. The staff at the hotel were very approachable and helpful. Marie, the guest relations manager, was particularly lovely, and we were given a late checkout without charge as our flight home wasn't until 8 pm. Had we been planning to stay in Oman beyond the two nights I booked, we would have moved to the other Crowne Plaza, as that would have been more in keeping with my daughter's type of hotel. However, for an impromptu weekend break, Crowne Plaza OCEC was more than acceptable. Although I wouldn't choose this again for a leisure trip, if I were on a business trip to Oman, this would be the hotel I would choose!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a Crown Plaza hotel for a week, and I cannot speak highly enough of my experience. From the moment I checked in, the service was impeccable. The staff were friendly, and attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities I could need. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail, with thoughtful touches like fresh fruits, Eid chocolates, desserts, and complimentary toiletries. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The hotel restaurant served some of the most delicious meals I have ever tasted. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, and the selection of wines was excellent. In addition to the restaurant, the hotel also had two bars and lounge areas, which provided a perfect place to unwind after a long day. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and the staff was always on hand to make sure I had everything I needed. Overall, I had an incredible stay at this hotel, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you're looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay with excellent service and delicious food, then this is the place for you. I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

We booked a king size bedroom facing the garden. Amazing view, exceptional location and clean rooms. Staff was quite courteous, always on their toes to help.

We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a wonderful experience. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, providing a pleasant stay. One highlight of our visit was the mosaic buffet, which offered a wide variety of delicious food and left us thoroughly impressed. However, we did have a couple of minor concerns. Firstly, the pool was disappointingly small, and the water didn't seem to be properly cleaned, which was a bit of a letdown. Additionally, we were hoping to enjoy some indoor shisha during our stay, but were disappointed to find out that it was only available outdoors. This became uncomfortable due to the hot weather. Despite these drawbacks, our overall experience at the hotel was positive. The comfortable rooms and amazing mosaic buffet made up for the small pool and the inconvenience with the shishauu. We would recommend this hotel for those looking for a great stay with excellent dining options, keeping in mind the limitations mentioned.

I liked the way the staff at the reception, at the lounge and at the restaurant responded in the most professional and leasing way possible, striking some conversation and making you feel comfortable. Kudos to Ms. Priya for making the check in pleasant
